Is this card worth its fee?
Compare what a card gives back with what it costs you each year, for how you actually spend.
For anyone deciding to get, keep or cancel a card with an annual fee. It needs the card and a rough idea of your spending. Nothing is saved anywhere but this device.
How we calculated this
Net value = statement credits you really use + anniversary bonus + (what the card earns on your spending − what a no-fee 2% card earns on the same spending) − annual fee and other recurring costs.
Spending above a category’s annual cap earns the card’s base rate; a cap shared by several categories is split in proportion to your spending. Points are valued at the issuer’s stated value unless you set your own under Customize assumptions. Everything is exact to the cent; nothing is rounded until it is shown, and the same arithmetic runs in the Studio behind Julia’s videos.

A welcome offer is a first-year event, so it is not in the yearly answer. Card records will carry the offer with the date it was checked; until then it is left out.
